Dallas/Allen, Texas– The Allen Americans (16-39-8-3), ECHL affiliate of the Utah Hockey Club, powered by Energy Transfer Partners, face the Idaho Steelheads (34-23-8-1) tonight at7:10 PM CST at CUTX Event Center. Tonight is the first game of a two-game series.

Americans Extend Point Streak: The Allen Americans have points in three consecutive games after a 3-2 win on Thursday morning during the annual Americans School Day Game. Noah Kane scored the game winner for the Americans halfway through the final period, his second goal of the season. That goal extended his point streak to a season-high five games. Jared Westcott had a pair of goals for the Americans (7,8). Luke Richardson made the start and picked up the win stopping 35 of 37 Tulsa shots. The Americans went 1-for-5 on the power play, while Tulsa was 0-for-2. The Americans outshot Tulsa 40-37. It was the first time all season the Americans outshot the Oilers in a game. Jared Westcott led the way with six shots on net.
Firing Range: The Americans have put up a total of 90 shots on goal in their last two games. 50 coming the shootout loss in Salt Lake City last Saturday night.
Power Play Remains Hot: After scoring a season high four power play goals in game last week in Utah, the remain hot with the man advantage. The Americans have seven power play goals in their last 18 attempts. Spencer Asuchak (IR) leads the team with seven power play goals.
Head-to-Head with Idaho: The Americans are winless against the Idaho Steelheads this season dropping all four meetings. The Steelheads won the only game in North Texas this season taking a 6-2 decision on the final day of 2024.
Westcott on the board again: Americans forward Jared Westcott has scored in back-to-back games for the Americans, and for the second time in his professional career he scored two goals in a game. His two goals on Wednesday morning were his seventh and eighth of the season. He had two goals in a game last April while with the Wheeling Nailers
Who is Hot: Brad Morrison has nine points in his last three games. Noah Kane has a five-game point streak. (1 goals and 7 assists). His five-game assist streak tied Kyle Crnkovic for the longest on the team this season.
