Watts named ECHL All-Star

Dallas/Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Utah Hockey Club, powered by Energy Transfer Partners, are proud to announce that Americans Captain Brayden Watts, as been selected as part of the ECHL’s Midseason All-Star Roster.


Brayden Watts, who is in his first season with the Americans, was named the new team captain last week. Watts is having an all-star season leading the team in points with 38, second overall in assist with 23, and third overall in the ECHL with 13 power play points.


The California born forward signed with the Americans this past summer. He was the first player announced by the team in July.


He played the past four seasons with the Wichita Thunder (ECHL). where he finished third or better in scoring in three of the four years.   


The ECHL All-Star Classic took a year off this season but will return in January of 2026 with the game to held at Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen.


The Americans get back to work on Friday night in Rapid City, as they open a five-game series against the Rush. The first two games will be in South Dakota, with three scheduled for North Texas next week. Call 972-912-1000 for Group and Single Game Ticket information.
