The Americans face the top team in the ECHL

Boise, Idaho – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators (NHL), and Belleville Senators (AHL), play the Idaho Steelheads tonight in the first game of a two-game series. The Americans were swept by Idaho in a three-game series in November. Puck drop tonight at 8:10 PM Central Time. The Americans are riding a four-game winning streak.

Reaching the 700 Club: Americans forward Jack Combs has joined the 700 club. Combs had three assists last Sunday in the Americans 7-5 win over Rapid City, to reach the milestone of 700 points. He has 332 goals and 368 assists in 716 professional games.

Hargrove shines in win: Colton Hargrove had his third, four-point game of the season last Sunday, in an Americans win over Rapid City. He is fifth overall in scoring in the league with 65 points (32 goals and 33 assists). His 32 goals this season are second in the ECHL behind teammate Hank Crone, who has 36 this season.

Combs extends point streak: Jack Combs has a point or more in 19 straight games. 10 of those 19 games have been multi-point nights. Combs had three assists last Sunday in the Americans 7-5 win over Rapid City. His 19-game streak is the current longest in the league.

Peressini impressive stretch: Americans netminder Luke Peressini won his 15th game of the season last Sunday to improve to 15-11-1-0. Peressini has won four of his last five starts.

Runner Up:Americans forward Hank Crone had seven points in two games last week, in the Americans perfect 2-0 week, with a pair of wins over Rapid City. Crone leads the ECHL in scoring with 79 points.
