AMERICANS ADD TOUGHNESS AND SIZE TO THE ROSTER
Dallas/Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, are proud to announce the team has signed Troy Murray for the 2026-2027 season.
“Troy Murray is back and 100 percent healthy,” noted Americans Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson. “His game brings versatility and toughness along with speed to our lineup.”
Troy Murray returns after playing in 21 games last season for the Americans. The 6-foot-2 and 205-pound forward/defenseman begins his seventh season of professional hockey.
Before his time last year with the Americans, he played nine games with the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL) in 2024-2025, and two games in the American Hockey League, both with the Springfield Thunderbirds last season.
The Toronto, Ontario native turned 29 years old on September 5th. He will be a part of the Americans Training Camp next month. Stay tuned for details coming soon.
