Dallas/Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, are proud to announce the team has signed forward Chase Maxwell for the coming season.
“Chase Maxwell is another of our versatile players who's looking for a breakout season,” said Americans Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson. “He spent the summer working hard in the gym and comes to camp a lean 190 pounds”
Chase Maxwell joined the Americans last year for his rookie season. Maxwell appeared in 45 games scoring two goals while adding three assists. The native of West Hartford, CT played his collegiate hockey at SUNY-Brockport, where he averaged 16 points per season over four years.
“I’m super excited to be back in Allen,” said Maxwell. “The Americans have the best fans in the league. I learned so much from Marty (Steve Martinson) last season about what it takes to be a pro. I used that knowledge all summer pushing myself to be better on the ice. “I’m really excited about our group and thankful for the opportunity”
The Americans open training camp in a few weeks. The lone preseason game will be played on October 10th in Tulsa, Oklahoma for their traditional warmup against the Oilers.
The home portion of the regular season opens on October 29th in Frisco at Comerica Center as the team will play back-to-back games against division rivals the Idaho Steelheads.
