ALLEN AMERICANS NAME TOMMY DANIELS NEW PRESIDENT OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans and Owner Jack Gulati announced today that Tommy Daniels has been elevated to President of Hockey Operations.

Tommy Daniels, the longest tenured employee with the team, begins his 14th season with Allen this year. In his new role with the club, he will oversee the hockey department which includes travel and budget.

“It’s rare that one finds a leader like Tommy Daniels with so many leadership qualities,”  said Americans Owner Jack Gulati. “We are lucky to have him in our organization. Six years ago, when I bought this team, I knew immediately that Tommy would become a big part of this organization going forward. He has a special talent working with others, and will be a big help to Chad Costello going forward.”

Daniels, who joined the Americans in the summer of 2009, will be a part of the Executive Management Group along with President Jonny Mydra, and Chief Financial Officer  Kevin Sikes-Gilbert. He will continue to broadcast Americans Hockey as usual. He has held the title of Vice President of Broadcasting and Communications for the last six years.

“I’m extremely excited to be working with Chad (Costello) and managing the day-to-day operations in the hockey department,” said Daniels. “In my 14 years with the club, there is not much I haven’t been involved in. I am looking forward to the new challenge and would like to thank our Owner Jack Gulati for this great opportunity.”
