Reading PA – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators (NHL), and Belleville Senators (AHL), play Game 2, of their three-game series against the Reading Royals tonight at Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania. The Royals took Game 1 on Wednesday night 5-2. Logan Flodell made the start in net and suffered the loss giving up five goals on 32 shots. The Americans have dropped four straight road games.

Last Game: The Allen Americans took a 2-1 lead in the first period and then gave up the next four goals in a row dropping their fourth straight road game 5-2 to the Reading Royals on Wednesday night at Santander Arena. The Americans had six power play opportunities to just two for Reading. The Americans went 0-for-6 with the man advantage. The Americans dropped to 0-4 lifetime in Reading.
Chad Butcher returns to Allen: The Allen Americans signed forward Chad Butcher to a contract on Thursday. This is his fourth stint with Allen. In 34 games last season Butcher had 34 points (10 goals and 24 assists). Butcher played in 11 games this season with the Belfast Giants of the EIHL and had three points.
Romeo held off the score sheet in return to Reading: New Americans defenseman Ryan Romeo made his return to Reading on Wednesday night and had o points in 14 minutes of ice time,
Top 10: The Americans have two players in the Top 10 in the league in scoring. Rookie Hank Crone is tied for 7th overall in the league with 23 points which leads the Americans (10 goals and 13 assists). Jack Combs is 10th overall with 22 points and leads the Americans in goals with 11.
Rookie Showdown: Hank Crone’s 23 points is second overall in the league in Rookie Scoring. He trails Reading’s Max Newton 25 points by two.
Ottawa assigns Goalie to Allen: The Ottawa Senators, NHL affiliate of the Allen Americans assigned goalie Kevin Mandolese to Allen from AHL affiliate Belleville. He’s 2-4-1 in seven American Hockey League games this season
