Dallas/Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, along with Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson are proud to announce the return of three players from last season.
Defenseman Quinn Warmuth returns for a third season with the Americans. The Ohio native had his best season as a pro last year with 20 points in 65 games (7 goals and 13 assists). He was third on the team last year in goals scored by a blueliner just behind Sam Sedley and Ty Prefontaine who each had eight.
Jackson Decker is the second defenseman announced by the Americans. Decker provided toughness with his ability to work hard in the corners. The former Canisius College player is starting his second year as a pro and second with the Americans (9 points and 20 penalty minutes in 57 games).
Goalie Brett Mirwald returns for his second season with the Americans. He joined the team late last year finishing 5-0-1 with a 1.58 GAA and two shutouts. He had four total last year with the other two coming during with the University of British Columbia where he appeared in 14 games. The native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, will turn 23-years old on September 13th.
“Quinn Warmuth quietly scored seven goals last year without playing on the power play. I feel he will improve on that number this season as he gets even more opportunities. Jackson Decker is a big hitting defender that started to show deception and great puck movement as the season moved on. Brett Mirwald was outstanding in his rookie season.” Americans Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson.
The Americans open the home portion of the regular season with back-to-back games in Frisco, Texas at Comerica Center on October 29th and 30th against the Idaho Steelheads. Call 972-912-1000 for ticket information. 2026-2027 Schedule.
