Dallas/Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, announced today the team has signed defenseman Nolan Kneen for the 2026-2027 season.
Nolan Kneen joins the Americans after playing the last three years with the Wichita Thunder. The 6-foot-0 and 200-pound blueliner had 21 points in 66 games last year with the Thunder.
“Nolan Kneen brings experience, skill, and a physical style of play,” said Steve Martinson. “I’ve been waiting for the right veteran D-man to join our team. We will have a lot of blueline skill this year, but with more physicality.”
He had his best season as a professional two years ago when he had 36 points in 70 games with Wichita.
The native of Kelowna, British Columbia, turned 27-years old last March. He first played with the Americans during his rookie season in 2020-2021, recording eight points in 25 games (3 goals and 5 assists).
He played 31 games the following year under Head Coach Steve Martinson finishing the year with 12 points and 44 penalty minutes.
The Americans open their 18th season of professional hockey this October. For information on season tickets or group tickets call 972-912-1000.
