Rush Escape with the Win: The Americans dropped the final game of their weekend series with the Rapid City Rush losing by the score of 6-3 on Sunday afternoon at Credit Union of Texas Event Center. Rapid City built a 3-0 first period lead and never looked back. Blake Bennett scored two of the three first period goals for the Rush. All three Allen goals came in the middle period with Colton Hargrove scoring two of the three. His 10th and 11th of the year. Hargrove was the only Americans player with a multi-point afternoon. Harrison Blaisdell had the other goal for Allen. Number 13 on the season for him. David Tendeck made the start in net for the Americans suffering his second straight loss. He left the game late in the third period. Marco Costantini finished the game for Allen and stopped both shots he faced. The Americans outshot the Rush in all three games of the series including 43-34 in the final game of the series. The Americans won six of the nine games to win the season series. (6-2-1).
How we Matchup with the Admirals: The Norfolk Admirals are making their second ever visit to Allen. The Admirals are currently in seventh place in the North Division, 15 points behind Maine for the final playoff spot in the division. The Admirals have been hot of late, winners of seven of their last 10 games.
