Dallas/Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, and AHL’s Belleville Senators, along with Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson announced today that forward Troy Murray has been loaned to Springfield of the American Hockey League.
Troy Murray has appeared in 19 games with the Americans this season and has one goal and 27 penalty minutes.
The Toronto, Ontario native is in his first season with the Americans. Murray played for Head Coach Steve Martinson last year with the Athens Rock Lobsters of the Federal Prospects Hockey League.
The 6-foot-2- and 205-pound Murray is in his sixth season of professional hockey. In addition to Allen, he played nine games last season with the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL).
The Americans return to action tomorrow night at home against the Tulsa Oilers when they open a stretch of four games in five days before the Christmas Holiday Break. Call 972-912-1000 for tickets.
