Dallas/Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators (NHL), and Belleville Senators (AHL), along with Head Coach and GM Sterve Martinson, announced today the club has signed forward Colby McAuley for the 2025-2026 season.
“Colby McAuley brings speed, skill and toughness to our lineup,’ noted Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. “We have now resurrected the ECHL’s top line from the 2023 season. I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do on the ice”.
Colby McAuley returns to North Texas after playing last season in Europe with Kaufbeuren ESV (DEL-2), where he had 27 points in 48 games (10 goals and 17 assists).
The native of Sherwood Park, Alberta turned 29-years old last May. He joined the Americans for his rookie season in 2017-2018, where he appeared in 34 games and had 20 points. He also played for the Americans in 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024. His best numbers with the Americans came in the 23-24 season, where he had 63 points in 68 games, and led the team in scoring.
He will join the Americans tomorrow and could be in the lineup this Wednesday morning when the Americans host the Wichita Thunder at 10:30 AM.
The Americans have a three-game point streak and a two-game winning streak after taking the final two games of the series against Rapid City.
