Dallas/Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans (4-5-2-0), ECHL affiliate of the Utah Hockey Club, powered by Energy Transfer Partners, made a trade with the Orlando Solar Bears today acquiring forward Ryan Mahshie.
Ryan Mahshie played eight games this season with Orlando and had no points. Last year in 12 games he had a goal for one point. The 6-foot-3, and 210-pound forward played three years of collegiate hockey at R.P.I., where he led his team in scoring in the 22-23, with 22 points (15 goals and 7 assists), and one season at the University of Connecticut.
“We are excited to add Ryan to our roster,” noted Americans Head Coach B.J. Adams. “He’s a big strong player who likes to shoot. He competes hard, and is good along the walls.”
The Americans return to action this Thursday as they open a two-game set against the Tulsa Oilers. Thursday night’s game will be at BOK Center, with Friday night’s game in Allen. Call 972-012-1000 for tickets.
