Hargrove serves first of two: Americans forward Colton Hargrove served the first of a two-game suspension on Wednesday night. Hargrove was assessed a match penalty for illegal check to the head under Rule #48.5 at 19:21 of the first period of the Americans game last Sunday against Utah. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.Hargrove will miss the Americans games against Idaho on Saturday night.
Power Play Shines: After breaking a 0-for-14 drought last Sunday, the Americans are three for their last seven on the man advantage. Liam Finlay and Hank Crone both scored on the power play on Wednesday. The Americans rank third overall on the power play at 23.7 %.
100 in the books: Americans defenseman Dalton Skelly returned to the Americans lineup on Wednesday after missing the last three game with an upper body injury. He played in his 100th professional game on Wednesday night.
