Game Recap: Americans defeat Tulsa 5-2

Tulsa, Oklahoma – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators (NHL), and Belleville Senators (AHL), beat the Tulsa Oilers on Friday night 5-2 at the BOK Center to earn a weekend split.

Mikael Robidoux scored for the second game in a row, his second career goal. Ryan Gagnon netted his second of the year. Jack Combs added two goals, his team-leading 14th and 15th of the season. Hank Crone added a goal and an assist to move to 30 points for the season (13 goals and 17 assists).

“It was a solid team effort tonight,” said Americans Head Coach Chad Costello. “We came out fighting from the opening puck drop and took control of the game. We needed this type of performance tonight. Let’s hope it continues after Christmas.

The Americans are officially on the Christmas break and won’t return to action until Wednesday, December 28th in Wichita. The team returns home on Friday, December 30th against the same Wichita Thunder.
