Last time out: The Allen Americans defeated the Utah Grizzlies on Sunday afternoon 6-3, at the Classic of Texoma Rink of Red. Colton Hargrove had four points in just under twenty minutes of action (2 goals and 2 assists). Jack Combs chipped in with three helpers to lead the way for Allen. The Americans won the season series with Utah 8-2-1-1. Chase Perry played all three games in the series and finished with a 2-0-0-1 record. With the victory, the Americans moved past both Utah and Kansas City into second place in the Mountain Division.
Hargrove suspended two games: Americans forward Colton Hargrove was suspended for two games Hargrove was assessed a match penalty for illegal check to the head under Rule #48.5 at 19:21 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.Hargrove will miss the Americans games vs. Idaho on March 22 and March 24.
Power Play back on track: The Americans went 1-for-3 on the power play on Sunday afternoon breaking a 0-for-14 drought. Colton Hargrove scored his 15th power play goal of the year for the Americans only power play goal of the game. Colton Hargrove’s 15 power play goals lead the ECHL.
Dalton Skelly hoping to return tonight: Americans defenseman Dalton Skelly has missed the last three games with a thumb injury. He is hoping to return this evening against Idaho.

Senators draft pick on the board: Former Ottawa Senators draft pick Jakov Novak, scored his first professional goal on Sunday, in the Americans 6-3 win over Utah. Novak was drafted by the Senators in the 7th round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Novak recently completed two years at Northeastern University, where he averaged just under 15 points per season.
