Last Time Out: The Norfolk Admirals beat the Americans on Wednesday night by a score of 2-1 at Credit Union of Texas Event Center. Norfolk scored a pair of goals in their first five shots in the opening period. Marko Reifenberger’s fourth goal of the season at the 1:49 mark of the game turned out to be the game winner for Norfolk. The only Americans goal of the game came in the third period as Danny Katic scored with the extra man on the ice on a delayed penalty. It was Katic’s Team-leading 20th goal of the season. Jackson Parsons made the start for the Americans stopping 21 of 23 shots including some big saves in the second and third period. The Americans outshot the Admirals 29-23.
How we Matchup with the Admirals: The Norfolk Admirals beat the Americans for the first time in franchise history with a 2-1 win on Wednesday night. The only other games between the two teams came in the 2019-2020 season when the Americans beat Norfolk back-back games by scores of 5-0 on November 8th, and 3-2 in overtime on November 9th. Gabe Gagne scored the game winner in the
5-0 game, and Jared Van Warmer scored the overtime goal on November 9th. The Americans lead the all-time series 2-1.
