Defenseman Kayle Dotetzel is entering his fourth season in the ECHL this year. The Saskatoon native first went pro in 2016-17 with the Stockton Heat (AHL), playing 56 games totaling 59 penalty minutes.
Before he ever skated in the AHL or ECHL, he spent four seasons in the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels playing in 292 games. Since then he has played in 166 games in the ECHL and 68 games in the AHL with the Kansas City Mavericks (ECHL), Jacksonville IceMen (ECHL), Allen Americans (ECHL), Stockton Heat (AHL), and Cleveland Monsters (AHL).
This will be Dotetzel’s second straight season with the Americans. In his first season with the Americans, he played 57 games totaling 10 points (2G, 8A) and 59 penalty minutes.
