Center Jared Bethune is back with the Americans for a second stint after spending the last two seasons playing for Queens University.
While at Queens University, he tallied 33 points (12G, 21A) in 52 games. Before Bethune ever played in an Americans’ uniform or attended Queens’ University, he played four seasons in the WHL with the Prince George Cougars. His last season with the cougars’ was an impressive one that caught the eye of head coach Steve Martinson as he would total 69 points (21G, 48A) in 71 games.
Bethune joined the Americans at the end of the 2017-18 season. In the 2018 Kelly Cup Playoffs, he played in all seven games, tallying one goal in the Americans’ heartbreaking loss to the Idaho Steelheads.
The lone goal Bethune scored in the Kelly Cup Playoffs was his first professional level goal.
