A first-year pro, North Vancouver, BC native Gavin Gould joins the Allen Americans in 2021-22.
The forward played Junior A hockey in the British Columbia Hockey League for three years starting in 2013. Gould played two-and-a-half seasons with the Merritt Centennials, recording 144 points (61G, 83A) in 161 games. During his last season in the BCHL, he was traded to the Nanaimo Clippers, where he would finish out his junior career. In 30 games, Gould tallied 25 points (8G, 17A) for the Clippers.
Gould made his way to the United States to play college hockey. For the first three seasons, he played in 111 games for Michigan Tech, compiling 64 points (33G, 31A) en route to back-to-back WHCA championships. After not playing in 2019-20, Gould spent his final collegiate season with Bowling Green, scoring three goals and 10 assists in 21 games.
The 25-year-old made his professional debut with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits to start the 2021-22 season. In the five appearances he made, Gould posted a goal and two helpers before being traded to Allen.
This is Gould’s first professional season and first as a member of the Allen Americans.
