The former first-round draft pick of the Colorado Avalanche and fifth-round draft pick of the St. Louis Blues is entering his first season with the Americans.
Before Bleackley went pro in 2016 with the Chicago Wolves, he spent five seasons in the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels. While with the Rebels the High River, ALTA native played in 259 games totaling 183 points (80G, 103A).
Bleackley has split a lot of his pro career between the ECHL and AHL. While in the AHL, he has spent time with the Chicago Wolves, San Antonio Rampage, Texas Stars, and Hartford Wolf Pack. In total, he has spent four seasons in the AHL, racking up 33 points (11G, 22A) in 133 games played. Before skating in an Americans’ uniform, he spent time with the Missouri Mavericks, Tulsa Oilers, Idaho Steelheads, and the Maine Mariners.
Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson signed the 6-foot-0 forward on January 2nd, 2021. In his second game in an Americans sweater, he would find the back of the net against the Rapid City Rush at the 1:15 mark of the second period.
