Goaltender C.J. Motte is returning to the Allen Americans for his second season after spending the duration of last season playing overseas in Austria with the EIHL. Last season Motte played in 16 games for the Innsbruck HC, where he had a GAA of 4.09 before heading to the Coventry Blaze in the EIHL. Motte last played for the Allen Americans in the 2018-19 season, where he had three shutouts in 41 games played.
Before Motte ever put on an Allen Americans uniform he spent four seasons at Ferris State University. Motte’s best season at Ferris State came in 2013-14 where he went 28-8-3 and had a Save% of 0.928. Motte has played 19 games in the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Charlotte Checkers, Chicago Wolves and the Iowa Wild. Motte has spent the duration of his ECHL career playing for the Quad City Mallards.
