Two time President’s Cup Champion Alex Lavoie is making his return to the Allen Americans this season. Lavoie last played with the Americans in the 2013-14 season where he played in 60 games totaling 76 points (25G, 51A). Lavoie is one of only two Americans who have won Rookie of the Year.
He has spent the last four seasons overseas playing for the Bofors IK (Swe-1), KalPa Kuopio (SM-liiga) and the Innsbruck HC (Austria). Last season for the Innsbruck HC (Austria) he skated in 51 games putting up 34 points (11G, 23A). Outside of playing in Allen he has spent time playing for the Oklahoma City Barons (AHL), Florida Everblades (ECHL), and the Indy Fuel (ECHL). Before he ever went pro he played six seasons in the QMJHL.
This will be his second season with the Allen Americans. He first joined the team in the 2012-13 season to only play one game in the playoffs.
