Everyone at the Allen Americans appreciates the loyalty and dedication that our fans show our Club with your engagement throughout this pandemic.

It’s been 168 days since our last game on the ice and it could be another 104 days until our 2020-21 season opener, a total of 272 days between games. That’s unfathomable. Still, you’ve hung in there with us and we all want you to know how much we appreciate your being a part of the Americans Hockey Organization.

To those of you who have renewed your season tickets for the upcoming season, please know that our front office is working hard daily to make plans to create an outstanding environment in the Allen Event Center for our 36 home games. It’s going to be different, as with every other team in Texas (and elsewhere) the word normal and 2020 aren’t going to collide.

We will have a reduced capacity to start the season and that number is fluctuating, so the best I can share with you at this point is the obvious, that we will be winning games and racking up points in front of a smaller number of people this year.

Season Ticket Renewals began on February 1, 2020, some 203 days ago. The world has changed a lot over those 29 weeks! The deadline to renew your seats for the upcoming season has been extended a few times, as we wanted to provide extra room for you to make your decision about this valued commitment to the team.

Our final 2020-21 season ticket renewal deadline is coming up on August 31, 2020.

Season Ticket Members (STM) who renew by this date will receive a discounted price, and a host of benefits that are growing in number by the week.

Our goal is to give our STM a great value and one that is worthy of your commitment to the Organization.

As of September 1, 2020 the pricing of your season ticket membership will increase. We want to make sure that our messaging is clear and visible. You will be seeing this information a lot over the next 10 days via our social media outlets. Over communicating important information is part of our plan as people are in and out of touch and we want to make sure that we do not miss anyone. Nothing is full proof, but we are doing the best we can. If you have friends who attend games with you, please reach out to them if you feel they may have missed this information. We appreciate you being an active participant in this process.

Once we have a solid number for our STM count, our Front Office will use the coming months to map out a seating plan that is fair and equitable for our fans.

Since every seat in the Allen Event Center will not be open for use, we cannot guarantee that your 2019-20 seat will be the exact one that you will be seated in as we start the season under Governor Abbott’s Covid-19 reduced capacity guidelines.

We have several models under review, from assigning seats locations on proximity to their previous season’s seats, to staging a seat selection process later this Fall (October/November) based on type of season ticket renewed (full/half), etc. We could well start the season with this seating plan, and see it evolve forward during the course of the campaign as conditions improve regarding COVID-19.  Our operations are subject to guidelines set forth by the State of Texas and the City of Allen. That being said, everything we do is with our fan experience is at the center of our decision making process.  We will do our best to maximize your safety and positive interaction at all of our events

As conditions improve it is our hope that more capacity will be opened up. Like everyone else, we await guidance from Austin on this front and it’s truly out of our control.

What I will promise is that we plan on doing the best we can to serve you, our fans, and to provide the safest, most exciting environment for you to enjoy watching Coach Martinson and the Americans score goals, win games, and take us on another magical ride to a Kelly Cup Championship next summer.

Some quick points to keep in mind:

  • We will have 100% digital ticketing moving forward.
  • We will have cashless transactions in the Americans Team Shop
  • The Allen Event Center is planning on cashless transactions for food & beverages and is reviewing a host of game day policies at the present time. When these policies from the AEC are solid we will share them forward as soon as we get the information from the City of Allen.

If you have any questions please ask below in the comments and we will do our best to address for all to see.
