Rapid City, SD – The Allen Americans rallied from a 4-3 deficit in the third period to grab the lead and hold on for a 6-5 win on Saturday night at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center sweeping the three-game set with the Rapid City Rush.
Chad Costello led the way for Allen with two goals, his 27th and 28th of the season extending his point streak to nine games. Kale Kerbashian had his best game since opening night with a goal and an assist to help Allen win their third straight game.
“We didn’t play great tonight but we found a way to get it done,” said Allen Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson.
Josh Brittain had his best game in an Americans sweater with a goal and two assists. Eric Roy scored his 13th of the season and Miles Liberati scored his first professional goal which turned out to be the game winner for Allen
Riley Gill won his 8th straight game between the pipes picking up his 19th win of the season. Allen played shorthanded with both Bryan Moore and Dyson Stevenson out serving their suspension. Moore received one game, while Stevenson has been suspended indefinitely.
The Americans return home to face the Indy Fuel next Wednesday night at home as the Americans play four games in fives night’s. Tickets for all remaining home games are on sale at Allen Event Center Box Office or call during business hours at 972-912-1000.
