Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, and Globe Life are proud to announce the signing of goalie Jeremy Brodeur to a contract.

”I’m really excited to come to Allen,” said Jeremy Brodeur. “I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Allen Americans and the organization. I’ve been preparing for this opportunity since the end of last season.”

Born is Essex Fells, New Jersey, the 6-1, 190 pound netminder will turn 21 years old this Sunday. He is the son of 4-time Vezina Trophy winner, and former New Jersey Devils great, Martin Brodeur.

The Americans return to action this weekend with three games against the Tulsa Oilers. On Friday and Saturday, the club will be at BOK Center in Tulsa for 7:05start time on each game. On Sunday, the two clubs will travel to Allen for a matinee affair at 4:05 PM.

The Americans will have a full-team Halloween skate with fans following the game, so be sure to wear a costume. The club will be wearing specialty jerseys on Sunday that will be available for purchase via an online auction. Visit bidpal.net/goamericans to bid on your favorite player’s Halloween sweater.

About the Americans

The Allen Americans play in the ECHL, the premiere AA hockey league in North America. The Americans were established in 2009 and have won four AA championships in eight full seasons of minor pro hockey. In those eight seasons, Allen has qualified for the playoffs every year with five trips to the league finals. Allen will enter its fourth season in the ECHL this October, after playing five years in the now defunct Central Hockey League.
