AMERICANS COMPLETE DEAL WITH WICHITA

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans and Wichita Thunder completed a deal today from last season that sent defenseman Randy Cure to Wichita. As the player to be named later, Allen agreed to trade forward Dyson Stevenson to the Wichita Thunder.
The Americans also added forward Alex Krushelnyski who was assigned to Allen from Wichita’s AHL affiliate Binghamton last March. Krushelnyski played in six games for Wichita early last season.
Stevenson played two and a half seasons with Allen, playing in 123 regular season games. He had 55 total points and 233 penalty minutes while with the Americans. He was also a part of two Kelly Cup Championship teams with the Americans in 2015 and 2016.
The Americans begin their ninth season of hockey at Allen Event Center this October. The Americans open the regular season on the road in Rapid City on Friday, October 13th with the home opener set for Saturday, October 21st against Orlando.
