Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, and Globe Life are proud to announce that Goaltender Jeremy Brodeur has signed for a second season in Allen.

Jeremy Brodeur, son of former NHL Goalie Marty Brodeur, is back for his sophomore season in pro hockey. The 21-year-old netminder joined Allen last season. In 39 games, he had a record of 15-13 with a .917 save percentage.

Brodeur played his junior hockey with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, where he improved his win total each season (13.24, 33). The resident of Essex Fells, New Jersey had a 2.78 goals-against average while in Oshawa and is the team’s all-time leader in shutouts with seven. He won the OHL Championship and Memorial Cup is 2014-2015.

‘I’m really excited to be coming back to Allen for a second season,” said Brodeur. “My goal is to help bring the Kelly Cup back to Allen.”

The Americans open training camp in October. Allen is entering its tenth season of minor pro hockey. The home opener is Saturday, October 20th against Wichita. Call 972-912-1000 for more information.
