Allen, Texas –The ECHL announced today that Allen Americans forward Jack Combs has been voted an ECHL ALL Star starter for the All Star Game on Wednesday, January 21st, at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
Jack Combs leads the ECHL in points with 52, and is tied with Tulsa’s Adam Pleskach for the league lead in goals with 21. The native of St Louis, Missouri, is in his first season with the Americans. He turned pro in the 2009-2010 season, playing in 60 ECHL games with the Trenton Devils and Alaska Aces.
Combs has played in 144 games at the American Hockey League level, scoring 38 goals with 37 assists for 75 points. His best season as a pro came in 2010-2011 with Tulsa, where he had 40 goals and 82 points in 64 games.
“It’s a great honor to be selected a starter,” said Combs. “We are off to a great start here in Allen and this just adds to what has been a very enjoyable season.”
