Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League are proud to announce that forward, Spencer Asuchak, has been offered a Player Try Out with the Boston Bruins and will attend Bruins Rookie Camp this September.

Spencer Asuchak signed with Allen last season as a free agent and quickly made a name in the league, leading the CHL in shorthanded goals the entire season. Asuchak, along with teammate Alex Lavoie, were two of the top rookies in the Central Hockey League last year. The native of Kamloops, BC, is entering his second full season in professional hockey.

“Allen was a great experience with the best fans in minor league hockey,” said Asuchak. “Winning a Presidents’ Cup Championship with such a great group of guys was truly amazing. I learned a lot, and developed a ton, and I’m very thankful for the opportunity the Americans gave me. I’m really looking forward to Boston Bruins Rookie Camp and doing whatever it takes to earn a spot in the Bruins organization. I have been waiting my entire life for an opportunity like this. I feel like I’ve definitely earned it.”

He played four seasons in the Western Hockey League with Tri-City and Prince George before turning pro in 2012, when he skated in three games with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. Asuchak had 21 goals and 56 points last regular season for Allen.

The two-time Presidents’ Cup Champion Allen Americans will open their sixth season in the Central Hockey League this October. Season Tickets for the 2014-2015 campaign are on sale NOW at or call (972) 912-1000. “Come and Take It”
